Calendula Medicine Soap
Many calendula soaps sold today are called ‘calendula’ simply because the producer sprinkles a small amount of dried, imported calendula blossoms on top of the bars. Not so with my version of calendula soap. A significant portion of the olive oil I use to produce my calendula bars is infused for a month in dried calendula blossoms that we grow and harvest. Only the freshest, best quality blossoms are used for my infusion. This is the same infused oil that is the basis for my calendula salve. You can count on this bar to be packed with the anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties calendula is prized for. This is why I call this ‘Calendula Medicine Soap.
I keep a bar of this by the kitchen sink to use before and after preparing food because it is gently anti-bacterial, however, its generous sudsy properties and uplifting citrus scent – natural lemon and lemongrass essential oils – make it a great replacement for your main bath and shower soap.
